Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting St. Mary's Knights (Phoenix, AZ), 69-68 in a league match.

With the victory, Cactus Shadows advances its record to 16-6 on the year. The Falcons travel to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Desert Sky match on Tuesday, February 11. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 10-13. Mesquite lost 72-55 in their recent league match against Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ)

The Knights now own a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saguaro for a 4A Desert Sky match on Tuesday, February 11. St. Mary's will face a Sabercats squad coming off a 84-61 league win over Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ). The Sabercats record now stands at 16-7.
