Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix (North Charleston, SC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC), 38-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Palmetto Scholars Academy upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Phoenix host Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC) to clash with the Eagles in a A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 20-4. Military Magnet Academy won 48-26 in their recent league bout against Whale Branch (Beaufort, SC)

Next up, the Islanders clash with the Cross Trojans (Cross, SC) in a A Region 7 bout, on Wednesday, February 9. St. John's will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 69-21 league win over Baptist Hill (Hollywood, SC).
