In Tuesday's league match, the host Sweetwater Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 58-33 triumph over the Big Spring Steers.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 match, on Friday, February 10. Sweetwater will attempt to move on its 21-10 season record. The Matadors enter the match with a 19-16 record after their 62-46 league win over Snyder (Snyder, TX).
