North Carolina High School Basketball - Hopewell knocked off by North Mecklenburg

The North Mecklenburg Vikings basketball team scored 83 points and held the host Hopewell Titans to 63 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 21-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Charlotte for a 3A/4A Conference 60 contest on Friday, February 10. North Mecklenburg will battle a Lions team coming off a 65-62 league loss to Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Lions record now stands at 11-11.

The Titans (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies enter the 3A/4A Conference 60 contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, Hough ran past West Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 65-48, in a non-league contest.
