Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) and the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), saw North Surry's basketball squad hold off Surry Central by a tally of 55-49.

With the victory, North Surry improves its record to 22-1 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to play the Vikings in a 2A Conference 37 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 8-14. North Wilkes won 73-46 in their recent league challenge against Forbush (East Bend, NC)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a 2A Conference 37 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Surry Central will attempt to improve on its 16-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 66-64 league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).
