The North Surry Greyhounds basketball team scored 86 points and held the host Wilkes Central Eagles to 52 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Friday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Surry for a 2A Conference 37 contest on Tuesday, January 24. North Surry will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 87-57 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-5.

The Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles enter the 2A Conference 37 contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Surry Central was routed by West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 71-70, in a league contest.
