Sterling Classical Soldiers (Leander, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting St. Mary's (Taylor, TX), 34-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sterling Classical upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign.

Next up, the play the Grace Academy (Georgetown, TX) in a TCAF District 4 bout, on Thursday, February 9. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The come into the bout with a 16-13 record after their 50-39 league loss to Providence Prep (Belton, TX).
