Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) and the host Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA), saw Christiansburg's basketball squad hold off Blacksburg by a tally of 50-45.

With the victory, Christiansburg improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Blue Demons host Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 16-6. Rural Retreat won 57-18 in their recent league challenge against Holston (Damascus, VA)

Next up, the Bruins play the Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA) in a River Ridge challenge, on Friday, February 9. Blacksburg will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record.
