The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Alexandria Trojans (Alexandria, LA) and the visiting Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), observed Alexandria's basketball team edge Ruston by a score of 49-44.

The Trojans (31-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA). The Lions come into the 5A District 2 challenge with a 19-8 record.
