The Twin Valley Panthers basketball squad (Pilgrims Knob, VA), was nudged 40-39 in Friday's league battle with the host Council Cobras (Council, VA)

With the victory, Council advances its record to 2-12 on the year. The Cobras travel to Grundy (Grundy, VA) to meet the Golden Wave in a Black Diamond battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Golden Wave enter the battle with a record of 14-6. Grundy won 76-38 in their recent league battle against Hurley (Hurley, VA)

The Panthers now own a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tazewell for a non-league battle on Monday, February 10. Twin Valley will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 76-59 league loss to Marion (Marion, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-12.
