Louisiana High School Basketball - Welsh trounced by Lafayette Christian Academy
February 7, 2025: Welsh, LA 70591 Lafayette Christian Academy Knights (Lafayette, LA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA), 77-52 in a league match.
With the victory, Lafayette Christian Academy advances its record to 15-16 on the year. The Knights host Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, February 8. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 12-20. Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy won 75-27 in their recent non-league match against Kaplan (Kaplan, LA)
The Greyhounds now own a 7-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Arthur for a 2A District 6 match on Tuesday, February 11. Welsh will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 74-53 league loss to Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 17-20.
