Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) and the host Escalante Moquis (Escalante, UT), saw Piute's basketball squad wallop Escalante by a count of 68-34.

With the victory, Piute upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Wendover (Wendover, UT) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 16-3. Wendover lost 55-43 in their recent league battle against Tabiona (Tabiona, UT)
