The Northern Highlands Highlanders basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Paramus Spartans to 40 in the Highlanders league triumph on Thursday.

The Highlanders now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Don Bosco Prep for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Northern Highlands will meet a Ironmen team coming off a 69-32 league win over Paramus Catholic (Paramus, NJ). The Ironmen record now stands at 20-3.

The Spartans (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Passaic (Passaic, NJ). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Passaic ran past Bergen Tech (Hackensack, NJ), 35-27, in a league contest.
