New Jersey High School Basketball - Hackensack thwarts Paramus
January 11, 2024: Hackensack, NJ 07601 The Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ), 65-51 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Comets (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ). The Rebels go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Saddle River Day notched a victory over Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ), 56-44, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Northern Highlands for a Big North - Freedom test on Tuesday, January 16. Paramus will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 41-35 non-league win over Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-4.
