West Virginia High School Basketball - Bridgeport holds off Magnolia
February 8, 2024: New Martinsville, WV 26155 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Bridgeport Bulldogs (Bridgeport, OH) and the host Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV), saw Bridgeport's basketball squad hold off Magnolia by a tally of 42-40.
With the victory, Bridgeport improves its record to 7-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH) to confront the Seminoles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 21. The Seminoles come into the challenge with a record of 17-5. Monroe Central won 58-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH)
Next up, the Blue Eagles confront the Ritchie County Rebels (Ellenboro, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 12. Magnolia will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 58-46 non-league loss to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV).
