Missouri High School Basketball - Monroe City holds off Hannibal
February 8, 2025: Hannibal, MO 63401 The Monroe City Panthers basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host Hannibal Pirates to 39 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now possess a 13-6 record. They play next when they host Palmyra for a Clarence Cannon game on Tuesday, February 11. Monroe City will confront a Panthers team coming off a 59-48 non-league loss to Central/Southeastern (Camp Point, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 10-10.
With the loss, Hannibal falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Pirates host Quincy (Quincy, IL) to confront the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 17-10. Quincy won 66-27 in their recent league game against East Moline United (East Moline, IL)
