South Dakota High School Basketball - Spearfish nudges Mitchell
February 8, 2025: Mitchell, SD 57301 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) and the host Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), observed Spearfish's basketball team edge Mitchell by a score of 54-49.
The Spartans (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD). The Scoopers come into the AA challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Sturgis Brown was tipped by Huron (Huron, SD), 35-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Kernels encounter the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) in a AA challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 57-44 league loss to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD).
