Minnesota High School Basketball - Loyola nips Martin County West
February 9, 2023: Mankato, MN 56001 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Loyola Crusaders (Mankato, MN) and the visiting Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN), saw Loyola's basketball squad hold off Martin County West by a count of 74-67.
With the victory, Loyola upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (Lake Crystal, MN) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 18-1. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial won 69-53 in their recent league challenge against St. Clair (St. Clair, MN)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman Jaguars (Granada, MN) in a A Section 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Martin County West will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record.
