The Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots (Mayville, ND) basketball nipped the visiting Thompson Tommies (Thompson, ND), 54-50 in Thursday's league test.

The Patriots (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg (Drayton, ND). The Titans go into the B Region 2 test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, Drayton/Valley-Edinburg got by Midway/Minto (Inkster, ND), 55-34, in a league test.

The Tommies now own a 15-1 record. They play next when they host Roseau for a non-league test on Saturday, February 11. Thompson will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 67-49 non-league win over International Falls (International Falls, MN). The Rams record now stands at 12-10.
