The Asheville Cougars basketball team (Asheville, NC), was overwhelmed 62-38 in Friday's league battle with the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC)

The Titans now possess a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Erwin for a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Tuesday, February 13. McDowell will confront a Warriors team coming off a 81-63 league loss to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 6-15.

The Cougars (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks come into the 3A/4A Mountain battle with a 9-13 record. In their last battle, North Buncombe was overwhelmed by Enka (Enka, NC), 85-75, in a league battle.
