Ohio High School Basketball - St. Joseph Central crushes Clay
February 9, 2024: Portsmouth, OH 45662 St. Joseph Central Flyers (Ironton, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Clay Panthers (Portsmouth, OH), 65-37 in a league bout.
With the win, St. Joseph Central upgrades its record to 8-12 on the season. The Flyers travel to Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-21.
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Clay will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Golden Rockets go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 73-33 league loss to Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH).
