Virginia High School Basketball - Veritas School falls to New Covenant

February 9, 2024: Lynchburg, VA 24501

In Friday's non-league game, the host New Covenant Gryphons basketball team scored a good 64-49 triumph over the Veritas School Lions.

In their next game, the Gryphons face the The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) in a Virginia Independent game, on Tuesday, February 13. New Covenant will attempt to move on its 15-5 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 5-13 record after their 78-36 non-league loss to Seton (Manassas, VA).

With the defeat, Veritas School moves to 4-14 on the year. The Lions travel to Rise Academy (Richmond, VA) to face the Guardians in a VISAA Division IV game on Tuesday, February 13. The Guardians enter the game with a record of 10-11. Rise Academy lost 76-64 in their recent non-league game against Life Christian Academy (Chester, VA)
