The Groton Tigers basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Redfield Pheasants to 37 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mobridge-Pollock for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Groton will meet a Tigers team coming off a 63-50 non-league win over Sully Buttes (Onida, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 13-5.

The Pheasants (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Northwestern Area was routed by North Central (Eureka, SD), 51-44, in a non-league contest.
