The Sterling City Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Sonora Broncos to 28 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reagan County for a 2A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, February 14. Sterling City will meet a Owls team coming off a 60-43 league win over Christoval (Christoval, TX). The Owls record now stands at 25-9.

The Broncos (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against Ozona (Ozona, TX). The Lions enter the 2A Region I District 7 contest with a 5-25 record. In their last contest, Ozona was routed by Eldorado (Eldorado, TX), 57-28, in a league contest.
