Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Reagan County Owls (Big Lake, TX) and the visiting Sterling City Eagles (Sterling City, TX), saw Reagan County's basketball squad hold off Sterling City by a tally of 61-60.

With the victory, Reagan County improves its record to 19-9 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Sonora (Sonora, TX) to confront the Broncos in a 2A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 3-12.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Forsan Buffaloes (Forsan, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Sterling City will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 11-13 record after their 53-51 league win over Christoval (Christoval, TX).
