SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC), 75-70 in a league bout.

With the win, SouthWest Edgecombe upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Cougars travel to Washington (Washington, NC) to clash with the Pam Pack in a non-league bout on Monday, February 13. The Pam Pack go into the bout with a record of 12-12. Washington won 91-63 in their recent league bout against Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC) in a 2A Conference 4 bout, on Monday, February 13. West Craven will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-15 record after their 97-52 league loss to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC).
