The Appling County Pirates basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Cook Hornets to 28 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Monday.

The Pirates now possess a 9-16 record. They play next when they travel to Tattnall County for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 12. Appling County will play a Warriors team coming off a 46-43 non-league win over Metter (Metter, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 20-4.
