Indiana High School Basketball - Mississinewa falls to Pendleton Heights
February 11, 2023: Gas City, IN 46933 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Pendleton Heights Arabians basketball team scored a good 57-48 triumph over the Mississinewa Indians.
In their next game, the Arabians meet the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage match, on Tuesday, February 14. Pendleton Heights will attempt to move on its 6-14 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 9-10 record after their 43-39 league loss to Delta (Muncie, IN).
With the defeat, Mississinewa moves to 4-14 on the year. The Indians travel to Eastbrook (Marion, IN) to meet the Panthers in a Central Indiana match on Friday, February 17. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 6-12.
Fourth Quarter
It is a great sign when 9 of your players score points for their team. Such was the fact today when our Arabian Men's Basketball Team traveled to Mississinewa High School. Leading the offensive scoring barrage was Josiah Gustin with 16 points. He also pulled down a game high 8 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures was Evan Mozingo with 13. Hunter Suchyna hit all three of his shots for 7 points. Scoring 6 points was Caden Sims followed by Aaron Cookston with 5, Isaac Wilson with 4, Canon Cook with 3, Dontrez Braxton with 2 and Reese Caplinger adding 1. The junior varsity also recorded a victory by a score of 58-47. Next up for the Arabians is a Hoosier Heritage Conference battle next Tuesday at the New Castle Fieldhouse.
