Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT), 37-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Griswold upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Wolverines host St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Monday, February 13. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 11-8. St. Bernard won 38-14 in their recent league bout against Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT)

Next up, the Lions play the Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 16. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-18 record after their 65-33 league loss to Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT).
