The Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) basketball crushed the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), 81-51 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Golden Lions now possess a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Burns for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont bout on Friday, February 14. Shelby will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 89-57 league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy falls to 17-6 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to play the Ironmen in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont bout on Thursday, February 13. The Ironmen go into the bout with a record of 1-22. Cherryville lost 104-77 in their recent league bout against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)
