The Asheboro Blue Comets basketball squad (Asheboro, NC), was nudged 43-39 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC)

With the victory, Montgomery Central advances its record to 7-14 on the year. The Timberwolves travel to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 12. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 19-4. Albemarle won 70-16 in their recent league battle against North Stanly (New London, NC)

The Blue Comets now own a 4-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Davidson for a 3A Mid-Piedmont battle on Thursday, February 13. Asheboro will meet a Black Knights squad coming off a 54-27 league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 5-17.
