South Dakota High School Basketball - Wagner tops Burke
February 12, 2024: Burke, SD 57523 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) and the host Burke Cougars (Burke, SD), saw Wagner's basketball squad knock off Burke by a count of 66-58.
With the victory, Wagner upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Vermillion (Vermillion, SD) to play the Tanagers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Tanagers come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Vermillion lost 66-46 in their recent league challenge against Lennox (Lennox, SD)
Next up, the Cougars play the Colome Cowboys (Colome, SD) in a B Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 71-36 non-league win over Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD).
