Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), 63-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Tri-Valley upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season.

Next up, the Fighting Cougars clash with the Madison Bulldogs (Madison, SD) in a A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, February 16. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record.
