South Dakota High School Basketball - Riggs holds off Brookings
February 13, 2024: Brookings, SD 57006 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) and the host Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD), saw Riggs's basketball squad hold off Brookings by a tally of 54-50.
With the victory, Riggs improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Governors host Mitchell (Mitchell, SD) to confront the Kernels in a AA challenge on Friday, February 16. The Kernels come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Mitchell won 60-55 in their recent league challenge against Washington (Sioux Falls, SD)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) in a AA challenge, on Friday, February 16. Brookings will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 74-71 league loss to Watertown (Watertown, SD).
