North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom falls to Watauga
February 13, 2024: Boone, NC 28607 In Tuesday's league match, the host Watauga Pioneers basketball team scored a good 83-66 triumph over the Freedom Patriots.
In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern match, on Friday, February 16. Watauga will attempt to move on its 18-5 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 8-15 record after their 62-58 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).
With the defeat, Freedom moves to 11-11 on the year. The Patriots travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to meet the Cougars in a 3A/4A Northwestern match on Friday, February 16. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 9-14. Alexander Central won 53-41 in their recent league match against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
