Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), 48-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Piedmont upgrades its record to 15-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to face the Colts in a 2A/3A Rocky River game on Friday, February 16. The Colts enter the game with a record of 12-11. West Stanly lost 76-71 in their recent league game against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)

With the defeat, Parkwood moves to 13-9 on the year. The Wolf pack travel to Central Academy (Monroe, NC) to face the Cougars in a 2A/3A Rocky River game on Friday, February 16. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 3-20. Central Academy lost 65-27 in their recent league game against Monroe (Monroe, NC)
