South Dakota High School Basketball - Vermillion fells Wagner
February 13, 2024: Wagner, SD 57380 Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD), 71-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Vermillion upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Tanagers host Ponca (Ponca, NE) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 19-1. Ponca won 56-50 in their recent non-league bout against Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD)
Next up, the Red Raiders clash with the Platte/Geddes Black Panthers (Platte, SD) in a A Region 5 bout, on Friday, February 16. Wagner will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Black Panthers go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 61-32 non-league loss to Gregory (Gregory, SD).
