The Valley Lumberjacks basketball squad (Pine Grove, WV), lost 76-56 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH)

With the victory, Frontier advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Cougars host Bridgeport (Bridgeport, OH) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Friday, February 21. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 8-13. Bridgeport lost 61-36 in their recent non-league battle against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)

The Lumberjacks now own a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clay-Battelle for a Ohio Valley AA battle on Tuesday, February 18. Valley will meet a Cee-Bees squad coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Cee-Bees record now stands at 11-6.
