The Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH) basketball were winner over the visiting Valley Lumberjacks (Pine Grove, WV), 55-39 in Thursday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host St. Marys for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. Frontier will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 87-29 league loss to Williamstown (Williamstown, WV). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Valley falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Heartland Christian (Columbiana, OH) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-2.
