The Boyd County Lions basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Morgan County Cougars to 56 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 22-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Carter for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 16.

The Cougars (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Buckhorn was defeated by Hazard (Hazard, KY), 83-41, in a league contest.
