New Mexico High School Basketball - Silver holds off Deming
February 14, 2023: Silver City, NM 88061 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) and the visiting Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM), saw Silver's basketball squad hold off Deming by a tally of 60-57.
With the victory, Silver improves its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Fighting Colts host Chaparral (Chaparral, NM) to confront the Lobos in a 4A District 3 challenge on Friday, February 17. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 4-20. Chaparral lost 59-49 in their recent league challenge against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 17. Deming will attempt to improve on its 15-10 season record. The Desert Warriors come into the challenge with a 8-17 record after their 59-49 league win over Chaparral (Chaparral, NM).
