New Mexico High School Basketball - Silver overwhelms Santa Teresa
January 31, 2023: Silver City, NM 88061 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) and the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM), saw Silver's basketball squad wallop Santa Teresa by a tally of 63-36.
With the victory, Silver improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Fighting Colts travel to Deming (Deming, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 4A District 3 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-9. Deming won 71-32 in their recent league challenge against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM)
Next up, the Desert Warriors play the Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Santa Teresa will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Lobos go into the test with a 4-16 record after their 71-32 league loss to Deming (Deming, NM).
