The Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) basketball nipped the host New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT), 58-56 in Tuesday's league test.

The Nighthawks (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT). The Cougars go into the Southwest test with a 17-2 record. In their last test, Kolbe-Cathedral got by Stratford (Stratford, CT), 69-39, in a league test.

The Green Wave now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Bunnell for a Southwest test on Friday, February 17. New Milford will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 46-43 league loss to Immaculate (Danbury, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-6.
