The Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN) basketball edged the visiting Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 44-42 in Friday's league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hammond Central for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 15. Chesterton will play a Wolves team coming off a 63-42 non-league win over Westville (Westville, IN). The Wolves record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Portage falls to 15-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to La Porte (La Porte, IN) to play the Slicers in a Duneland bout on Friday, February 21. The Slicers go into the bout with a record of 14-7. La Porte won 62-55 in their recent league bout against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN)
