Michigan High School Basketball - Mott can't hold off Walled Lake Central
February 14, 2025: Walled Lake, MI 48390 Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI), 53-50 in a league match.
With the victory, Walled Lake Central advances its record to 17-4 on the year. The Vikings host Milford (Highland, MI) to face the Mavericks in a Lakes Valley match on Thursday, February 20. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 14-5. Milford won 41-30 in their recent league match against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI)
The Corsairs now own a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Lyon for a Lakes Valley match on Thursday, February 20. Mott will face a Lions squad coming off a 73-56 league loss to Lakeland (White Lake, MI). The Lions record now stands at 4-17.
