The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) and the visiting Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI), observed Mott's basketball team edge Walled Lake Central by a score of 54-51.

The Corsairs (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights come into the Lakes Valley challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Walled Lake Northern was tipped by Milford (Highland, MI), 52-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings encounter the South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI) in a Lakes Valley challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Walled Lake Central will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 63-48 non-league win over Seaholm (Birmingham, MI).
