In Friday's non-league contest, the host Scottsbluff Bearcats basketball team scored a big 83-49 triumph over the North Platte Bulldogs.

The Bearcats (18-3) will now prepare for their contest against McCook (McCook, NE). The Bison go into the B District 8 contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, McCook smashed Alliance (Alliance, NE), 73-48, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 15. North Platte will attempt to better on its 2-19 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 8-10 record after their 48-39 non-league win over Chase County (Imperial, NE).
