New Mexico High School Basketball - Moriarty nudges Taos
February 14, 2025: Moriarty, NM 87035 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) and the visiting Taos Tigers (Taos, NM), observed Moriarty's basketball team edge Taos by a score of 34-32.
The Pintos (10-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Elks/Elkettes come into the 4A District 2 challenge with a 15-9 record. In their last challenge, Pojoaque Valley edged Taos (Taos, NM), 41-30, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Wednesday, February 19. Taos will attempt to move on its 7-16 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 3-20 record after their 55-33 league loss to Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM).
