New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley triumphant over Moriarty
February 11, 2025: Espanola, NM 87532 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) and the visiting Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), observed Espanola Valley's basketball team overwhelm Moriarty by a score of 59-23.
The Sundevils (16-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Hilltoppers come into the 4A District 2 challenge with a 3-19 record. In their last challenge, Los Alamos was routed by Moriarty (Moriarty, NM), 40-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Pintos encounter the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) in a 4A District 2 challenge, on Friday, February 14. Moriarty will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 7-15 record after their 41-30 league loss to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM).
