Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) and the visiting Escalante Moquis (Escalante, UT), saw Piute's basketball squad overcome Escalante by a tally of 59-42.

With the victory, Piute improves its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Wayne (Bicknell, UT) to confront the Badgers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. The Badgers come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Wayne won 73-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Bryce Valley (Tropic, UT)
